Julie Bee
Julie is a CPA and marketing guru who gets the importance of your bottom line, but also has creative ideas and connections to make it bigger. Julie's background as a CPA, as well as Vice President of several businesses, gives her a unique perspective on what online presence means to your company. It's about market awareness, marketing exposure, and your bottom line.
Julie started SyncSmart because she saw a great opportunity to combine her knowledge of business and marketing with Jessica's knowledge of marketing, writing, and online presence management to help businesses make the most of their marketing plans.
From a young age, Julie has shown her entrepreneurial spirit and love of business. She graduated with a degree in Business Administration with an emphasis on Accounting and a minor in Communication Studies. Julie also has a Masters of Professional Accountancy as well as her CPA license. In short, Julie fell in love with all things business and her educational background gave her the solid foundation to pursue that passion.
As a professional, Julie has worked in many different sectors. She started her career with PriceWaterhouseCoopers as a tax accountant, but quickly decided her true passion was business operations, not taxes. She went on to spend 5 years working with various businesses in the home building, landscaping, and petroleum industries before starting her own business.
Jessica Prokop
Jessica combines expertise in writing, marketing and online technology to use websites in making business goals a reality.
Jess got her entrepreneurial start early, devising ways to sell perennials with her father at age 10. When a secret Santa left a computer on her family’s doorstep, her path to a tech career was set. By 15, she was drawing a steady income on eBay and Amazon. Her passion for all things chat, HTML, and software drove her to Seton Hill College as a Computer Science major.
Her love of English won over, and Jess graduated with a dual degree in Literature and Journalism. The future, however, was determined by the school’s new emphasis on New Media. Though she honed her writing chops at the Tribune Review, blogging and studying social networks consumed her free time.
Just as she was about to return to Elk County following a stint as a television captioner, opportunity knocked. She was hired as account manager at Pittsburgh’s Imagebox Productions, a full-service marketing firm. It was here that she fell in love with SEO and all things online presence. Jess started SyncSmart as a place where her business, writing, new media, marketing, and technical skills could be combined to achieve shocking results.
